Ingredients

Scale

Snack Mix

  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 2 ½ cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 2 ½ cups Corn Chex
  • 1 package (10 ounces) candy corn M&M’s or regular M&M’s
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup peanuts (optional)

Coating

  • 1 package (12 ounces) white chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the pretzels, Honey Nut Cheerios, Corn Chex, candy corn M&M’s, candy corn, and peanuts if using. Stir to evenly mix all ingredients, then set aside.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 30 seconds, stir, and then microwave for another 30 seconds. Continue stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth without any lumps.
  3. Coat the Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the combined dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly to coat every piece evenly with the white chocolate.
  4. Add Sprinkles: If desired, sprinkle Halloween-themed sprinkles over the coated mixture for a festive touch.
  5. Set and Serve: Allow the coated mixture to cool and the chocolate to set completely at room temperature. Once set, break the mixture into clusters or serve in baggies or bowls.
  6. Store Properly: Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Bring to room temperature before serving to maintain crunchiness.

Notes

  • Peanuts are optional; omit or substitute for allergies or preferences.
  • Heat white chocolate in short increments to prevent burning or seizing.
  • Fold in candy and sprinkles after chocolate coating to avoid color bleeding or melting.
  • Let clusters set completely to maintain shape and crunch.
  • Refrigerate leftovers to extend freshness but allow time to come to room temperature before eating.
  • Freezing is not recommended as it affects texture.
  • For a spooky twist, add red food coloring to melted white chocolate to resemble dripping blood.
