Ingredients

Scale

Tea and Infusion

  • 3 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers
  • 2 cups water

Tapioca Pearls

  • ½ cup tapioca pearls
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Water for boiling

Other Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lavender Earl Grey Tea: Simmer 2 cups of water and then remove from heat. Place the dried lavender flowers inside a tea infuser and add it along with the 3 Earl Grey tea bags to the hot water. Steep for 5 minutes to allow the tea and lavender flavors to infuse.
  2. Cool the Tea: Remove the tea bags and the tea infuser from the pot and let the tea come to room temperature to prepare for mixing.
  3. Cook the Tapioca Pearls: While the tea cools, bring a separate small pot of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls to the boiling water, reduce heat, and simmer for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  4. Sweeten the Tapioca Pearls: Strain the cooked tapioca pearls and transfer them to a small bowl. Stir in the brown sugar to coat the pearls evenly and set aside to cool completely.
  5. Assemble the Drink: Divide the sweetened tapioca pearls evenly between two glasses. Add ice to each glass, then pour the cooled lavender Earl Grey tea over the ice.
  6. Add Almond Milk: Finish off by topping each glass with almond milk, gently stirring to combine flavors. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use a tea infuser or a fine mesh strainer to steep dried lavender flowers to easily remove them later.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar mixed with the tapioca pearls.
  • Almond milk adds a subtle nutty flavor and keeps the drink dairy-free.
  • Ensure tapioca pearls are fully cooled before adding to the drink to prevent melting the ice too quickly.
  • For stronger lavender flavor, steep the dried flowers slightly longer, but be careful not to overdo it to avoid bitterness.
