Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (56 ounces each), skin-on or skinless

Topping

  • 1 (5.2 oz) Boursin cheese round (Garlic & fine herbs flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, divided
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Garnish and Serving

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to make cleanup easier and prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the Boursin Topping: In a small bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil or melted butter. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the fillets, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  4. Assemble and Bake: Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish skin side down if skin-on. Evenly spoon the Boursin cheese mixture over each fillet, spreading gently to cover the tops. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for extra brightness. Pair with your favorite sides such as roasted potatoes, steamed asparagus, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Ensure salmon fillets are fully thawed if using frozen, and pat dry to get the best texture.
  • You can substitute other soft herb cheeses, but Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs is key for authentic flavor.
  • Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat gently in a low oven to retain moisture and flavor.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten-free when using gluten-free Boursin; always check labels if allergies are a concern.
  • Feel free to customize the herb mix by adding dill, chives, or paprika for different flavor profiles.
